YELLOW FIN, SNAPPER NOW IN OUR SIGHTS

TRY the blocks off South Straddie for some jewies; there have been plenty caught recently, mostly on live bait. Out wide we are starting to see the odd mahi mahi caught and some quality yellow fin. Snapper are still being caught on the 18 and 24 fathom reefs after the recent strong winds. Out very wide on the Riviera grounds there have been some big blue marlin caught, and it’s worth putting your spanner crab pots in 50m of water out the front of the Q1.
