TIP FOR KIDS: TIME TO START BREAM CHASE

THE past week has seen many big Kingfish taken from both Nine Mile Reef and out wider at the 50 fathom grounds. Both live baiting and jigging has had success. The strong wind has been a blessing in disguise as it has kept the snapper in close so try floating a pilchard on dawn or dusk. In the Tweed River we are seeing prolific numbers of bream around and they are a great way of introducing kids to fishing. Use prawns or yabbies near any rock walls.
