Houston level World Series
AN 11th-inning blast by George Springer scored two runs and delivered Houston a wild 7-6 win over the Dodgers yesterday to even up Major League Baseball’s World Series at 1-1.
The Astros’ offence came to life in extra innings when Jose Altuve and Carlos Correa hit back-to-back solo home runs to lead off the 10th, putting them up 5-3 in Los Angeles.
The Dodgers responded in the bottom half of the 10th but Springer’s home run, one of eight in the game, proved to be the difference.
