Music promoter dies
THE country music promoter who helped bring the CMC Music Awards to the Gold Coast has died in a motorcycle crash in Tasmania.
Sydney father Rob Potts, 65, booking agent for country stars including Gold Coast ARIA-winner Lee Kernaghan, Tommy Emmanuel, James Blundell and Keith Urban, was riding in a group of four on Friday when he hit a patch gravel near Tullah, on the west coast.
“He was the most passionate supporter of country music in Australia,” business partner and friend Michael Chugg said.
