COMMITMENT: GUARANTEES FROM ALL PARTIES FOR UP TO 50 MORE POLICE TO COMBAT RISING CRIME

Coast MPs, the Police Union and cops on the beat agree that 50 extra police is the solution. Labor last week told the Bulletin it would recruit 44 more cops for the region.

•Corrective Services needs more resourcing to arrest the growing trend of criminals being allowed to stay on our streets because our jails are overcrowded and there is no room for them in custody.
