Pants prank ends in court

A MAN has been charged with assault after a prank went wrong at Byron Bay.

A 29-year-old man in the company of friends at the Beach Hotel in Johnson St was dared to pull down the pants of someone.

The man pulled down the pants of a 20-year-old woman close by, who was on the phone at the time.

The woman chased him after he ran away, caught him and held him until security and police arrived.

The man will attend Byron Bay Local Court on November 16.
