Folkes off to Moss Vale

FORMER Bulldogs premiership-winner Steve Folkes will coach Moss Vale Dragons in Group Six next season.

Folkes, who coached Canterbury to an NRL grand final win in 2004, sealed the deal with Moss Vale officials at a meeting on Monday night.

“The club is really committed which is something that I like,” he said. “So I will go down there and give it a good shot and see what happens.

“The game has given me a hell of a lot so it’s good to give a bit back.”

Asked could his appointment possibly lead to a return to NRL coaching, Folkes said: “You think about it but whether it’s plausible, I don’t know. I honestly think I could coach again in the NRL.”
