Bikie among drug charges

NINE people have been arrested on 40 separate drugs and weapons charges across the Gold Coast in the past week.

Acting on informatio­n provided through Crime Stoppers, Rapid Action Police raided a Mongols bikie member at a Burleigh Waters address.

They allegedly found a handgun, MDMA, cocaine, steroids, pill press equipment and $31,000 in cash hidden in a toilet cistern.

A 28-year-old Clagiraba man was charged with drug, weapon and tainted property offences and will face Southport Magistrate­s Court on November 28.

Three woman, aged 43, 35 and 31, were also charged with nine offences relating to drug possession after police allegedly found methamphet­amine, cannabis, suboxone, diazepam and drug utensils at an Arundel property. They will appear in court on November 30.

At a separate Arundel property, police allegedly found a stolen $16,000 cheque, stolen tools, stolen numberplat­es, stolen car keys as well as methamphet­amine and drug utensils.
