Maximus to save Manus
HOLLYWOOD star Russell Crowe is trying to convince Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull to let him intervene in an asylum seeker crisis by providing a bed and jobs to six people after the Manus detention facility shut.
Crowe said he had “reached out to the Prime Minister asking if there’s a way ordinary Australians like me can help him simplify this mess” hours after calling the situation a “nation’s shame” and a “f---ing disgrace”.
The Gladiator star (right) said he had offered asylum seekers a place to live, and work.
