Accountant to face trial
A GOLD Coast accountant has been committed to trial after allegedly stealing more than $800,000 from clients at Bundall.
Former financial adviser Satvir Singh Birk, of Reedy Creek, was yesterday committed to the sittings of the Southport District Court on five counts of fraud allegedly involving about $800,000.
ASIC alleges Birk, who worked for Professional Investment Services at Bundall between 2010-11, dishonestly caused a detriment to several clients.
The matter will be heard at a date yet to be determined.
