THE obvious solution for the MI is to build a separate highway and not widen an already big problem.

No matter what you build, accidents will continue to happen and the traffic will continue to increase.

We need a second highway with interlinking connecting roads. This would permit swapping over from one highway to another, when problems occur.

It is absurd that workers must leave home hours earlier than necessary to ensure they get to work. Think of the fractured home life this causes.

To use the cost argument is ridiculous. Every day in delaying the solution, simply adds to the costs.

The government keeps banging on about creating jobs, this project would tick many boxes. DICK SAYER, MERMAID WATERS

THE M1 imbroglio could embrace Germany’s answer on their autobahns by using a fleet of helicopter first responders including a helicopter crane in lieu of a tow truck.

On US highways, there are signs urging drivers caught in minor accidents to position their damaged vehicle on the safety shoulder as quickly as possible. Just saying! MIKE

MEMBERS of Parliament are now being punished by the sins of their fathers, not their mothers.

Everyone is having lots of laughs but sadly not the MPs, losing their jobs.

What a waste of time and money. Now more elections. Heaven help us. Now the witch hunt will be happening. Just waste of time from running the economy. LOIS MCCULLOCH

THE ALP and LNP have an unAustralian, undemocratic and dictatorial attitude towards One Nation candidates.

They state they will preference them last and never form a coalition with them.

They do this because others have a different view on how to keep Australia prosperous.

One Nation understands the need for cheaper electricity and gas for families and business. For this they are condemned.

One Nation highlights the mismanagement and incompetence of decades of lousy government.

The establishment war against the people has come to an end.

Logic has now been understood by previously closed minds and they see there are effective ways to make Australia prosperous and great again. G J MAY

IN Your Views (GCB, 2/11), Gavin Harper stated a cruise ship terminal on the Coast would increase tourism with cruise ship companies pouring money into it.

Not one, however, has shown interest in a CST being here.

I’m not saying a CST wouldn’t increase tourism – but nor am I saying it would.

Have you looked into the expected costs of the proposed terminal at Brisbane’s Luggage Point?

You have to be practical, Gavin, and a CST on the Coast isn’t viable economically or environmentally.

Facts are facts. RADISH
