YOUNG SPORTS STARS AWARDED

IT WAS another stellar turn out for the annual awards night hosted by the Gold Coast Academy of Sport.

About 450 people packed the RACV Royal Pines Resort to see our sports stars of the future honoured.

Congrats to Ellie Beer (above, with John-Paul Langbroek) who was the Female Athlete of the Year and to Sam Frost for picking up the male award.

Alexis Seaton, William Marshall and Tom Vayro were also honoured with a Mayoral Award.

We dips our lid to the many people who put great effort into ensuring these young people get the best chance to excel on and off the sporting field.
