THE owners of a block of Millionaires’ Row units where the ‘neighbours’ include the Mermaid Beach Surf Club and the second-most expensive house sold on the Gold Coast this year are selling up.

The two-level strata-title building, at 182 Hedges Ave, has been put on the market at $2.35 million by owners who bought it a year ago for $1.7 million.

Luke Henderson, of The Professionals Mermaid Beach, yesterday said that the property, which has a 20-metre frontage to the western side of Hedges Ave, had been refurbished since its purchase.

“That work has included turning the two ground-floor units into one spacious and updated three-bedroom unit.”

Mr Henderson said the units, on a 405 sqm lot, offered very solid income returns and the potential for redevelopment of the site.

He said the ground-floor unit was returning $800 a week on Airbnb in the off-peak season and $1400 at peak times.

dual-bedroom units on the first floor were permanently let at $700 and $600 a week.

New Zealanders John and Erin Parker, who own a Ventura Ave holiday home, and their former Ventura neighbour, Kahli Wilson, bought the units at auction.

They are directly across the road from a beachfront house which sold in September for $16.45 million, a 2017 sale topped only by one on Hope Island in July at $16.75 million.

Mr Henderson is marketing 182 Hedges Ave in tandem with colleague Cindy Katene.
