Rare house among the high-rises

-

ONE of the few remaining houses among the apartment towers in Broadbeach has changed hands.

The two-storey, four-bedroom brick house with a pool at 7 Phillip Ave has been purchased by an undisclosed group in a $2.3 million deal.

On a 516sq m block with no height restrictions under the Gold Coast City Plan 2016, the property is ripe for redevelopment.

Ray White’s Matthew Fritzsche, who marketed the holding with colleague Daniel Janho, said more than 30 inquiries were fielded during the five-week expressions of interest campaign resulting in six offers.

“The sales process was competitive with interest from local and interstate groups, particularly from Sydney and Melbourne,” Mr Fritzsche said.

Mr Janho said Broadbeach was attracting strong interest at the moment with a number of major projects under way, such as The Star casino and hotel development and other towers.
