MODERN men will spend almost a year of their life in the bathroom, with one in 10 admitting they now waste time posing in front of the mirror.

A new UK study reveals the typical male devotes two hours a week to his ‘‘maintenance’’.

About 97 days of a man’s life will be spent showering, 52 days shaving and 112 days sitting on the toilet, where a quarter of men admit to leisurely checking Facebook and Instagram accounts.

The study of 1000 men found that 9 per cent enjoy striking poses in the bathroom mirror while no one is looking.
