Siege locks down Bondi

A MAN was arrested after a six-hour siege put a part of Bondi Beach into lockdown yesterday.

Police were called to a home on Imperial Ave about 12.30pm following reports of a domestic argument.

A 26-year-old then barricaded himself inside the premises, marking the beginning of a lengthy stand-off.

Sections of the road were closed and neighbours prevented from returning home.

About 6.40pm, officers entered the property and arrested the man without incident.
