Re Meter Maids. I am not a fan as they are rude to locals and tourists. I was showing a visitor around Cavill Ave and a maid approached, asking for a donation and we told her politely that we were in the middle of a conversation. If the political parties can’t find the cash or won’t hand back the money (from our taxes) for the proposed alternate route on the M1, for goodness sake take it to the private sector as a toll road which the Government can buy back down the track.
