England in bite charge

ENGLAND winger Jermaine McGillvary has been charged with contrary conduct after allegedly biting Lebanon skipper Robbie Farah.

McGillvary will face a Rugby League World Cup judiciary hearing tomorrow evening, appearing by video link to answer the charges.

The charge came after the match review panel reviewed footage of England’s win over Lebanon in Sydney on Saturday night, during which Farah alleged he was bitten by McGillvary.

The incident increased tensions between the two side throughout the match.
