IN response to the letter from John Grimes, CEO Solar Council, in yesterday’s Gold Coast Bulletin.
Let me be perfectly clear the LNP’s Cheaper Electricity policy released a few days ago will not affect solar feed-in tariffs or solar contracts entered into by Queensland Families or Businesses.
Any suggestion otherwise is simply an attempt to scare voters during an election.
The policy can be found at www.betterqueensland.org.au/cheaperelectricity

MALCOLM Turnbull is trying to use his legal skills to manipulate citizenship situation.
Obviously, the best way to sort out the Constitutional issue is to immediately hold another double dissolution election.
In that way, the candidates can do what they always had to do: verify their citizenship status. That requires verifiable documentation from the countries involved in any dispute or possible dispute for particular elected representatives.
It is not good enough for the PM to weasel his way out of compliance towards the nation’s rule book, the Constitution as he has been doing.
He would get a lot of support from the Australian people if he acted statesmanlike and called a double dissolution.
Meanwhile, the Queensland election should be put on hold. DR JIM WARRINGTON
THE previous LNP government removed thousands of public servants with no noticeable difference to any of our services.
The present government re-employed them and more consultants.
The only thing accomplished has been a larger wage bill.
It’s time to put a stop to this rot but the LNP is saying “no sackings”. Not a good way to start the clean-up of Labor’s mess. ROD WATSON
THE way Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk is swanning around the state suggests she thinks she has the election in the bag.
So did John Howard and Sallyanne Atkinson and they each met a swift demise. But why is Anna giving the Gold Coast a wide berth? (GCB, 3/11).
It’s certainly not the shipping terminal issue. She’s obviously afraid to face what has been an LNP stronghold for a long time.
It’s also quite amazing the funds she is promising on the campaign trail as she attempts to delude voters. Where has this money suddenly come from?
Now $11 million for Cairns State High School alone. You must surely jest, Ms Premier. KEN JOHNSTON
DRIVER beware – a pop-up bus zone is in place on old Burleigh road between Chelsea Ave and Britannia Ave, Broadbeach.
After a hard day’s work at the Boulevard North Apartments we found we had been hit with a $186 fine. There was no warning or communication from our council. TOM KEITH
