COLES has pledged to start the consultation and approval process for a new enterprise agreement with staff after settling an industrial dispute lodged by a nightshift worker.

Penelope Vickers, who has been working three shifts a week for the grocer since 2012, had applied to the Fair Work Commission to terminate a 2011 Coles enterprise bargaining agreement.

In a statement, Coles said Ms Vickers had agreed to withdraw her application to the Fair Work Commission.
