IS THERE a better party than the Melbourne Cup? Everyone gets dressed up, there’s no waiting until midnight for the big finale and if you feel like kicking on, everything is still available. One of the best of the many parties was at the Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort and Spa with the Grand Ballroom packed with glamorous gals and gents. Catwalk parade, live music, lunch and, of course, the big race on the big screen. Fun for all.
