Simmons in win over Joe

BEN Simmons won the battle of the Australians yesterday, with the Philadelphia 76ers defeating Joe Ingles’ Utah Jazz.

Simmons, 21, had another double double with 16 points and 13 rebounds in the 104-97 victory in Salt Lake City.

It continued his stunning rookie NBA season and guided the 76ers to their fifth consecutive win.

Ingles, 30, finished with 15 points and six rebounds and was given the job of defending Simmons late in the game.
