Big drug haul in Colombia
POLICE have seized more than 12 tonnes of cocaine from Colombia’s top crime gang, the biggest haul ever in the nation’s long-running fight against drug trafficking.
The cocaine, with a street value estimated at $US360 million ($A504 million), was found stored underground on four farms in a banana-growing region of northwest Antioquia province, near Colombia’s border with Panama.
President Juan Manuel Santos linked the cocaine to the Gulf Clan drug gang.
