Residents evacuated

MORE than a dozen evacuees will be moved to long-term alternative accommodation after a collapsed excavation site in Brisbane’s south continues to threaten their homes.

The eight Department of Housing units on Middle St in Cleveland came under threat on Saturday, prompting evacuation of 15 people.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Service assisted with the evacuation.
