Expansion for Mantra

LISTED Gold Coast accommodat­ion provider Mantra will end 2017 on a high after buying a record number of properties.

The Surfers Paradise-based company acquired 13 properties this year, the most since the company’s inception in 2009. They included: Mantra the Observator­y, Port Macquarie; Mantra Club Croc, Airlie Beach; Tribe Perth; Mantra Hotel at Sydney Airport; FV by Peppers, Brisbane; Mantra MacArthur Hotel, Canberra and the Arts Series Hotel Group (seven hotels).

Mantra boss Bob East said the company was poised to end the year in a strong position.

“The number of inquiries we’ve received from hotel developers, owners and investors hit record levels this calendar year, with a year-onyear increase of 10 per cent,” Mr East said.
