Family’s $650k win

A MIAMI family is celebrating after their long-running lotto syndicate scooped the division one pool on the weekend.

The family was one of six division one winning entries in the Saturday Gold Lotto draw – each taking home a division one prize of $658,047.71.

Their entry also won division three 12 times and division four 15 times, bolstering their total prize to $673,690.01.

It’s the 18th division one and first prize win to land on the Gold Coast this calendar year.

When a Golden Casket official made contact to confirm the win, family members had gathered in anticipation.

“It’s a family syndicate – they’re just numbers we’ve been playing for about 40 years,” the syndicate leader said.
