Green pressure on Trad

-

GREENS candidate Amy MacMahon says she will back a Labor government in exchange for the death of the Adani mine if she’s able to boot Deputy Premier Jackie Trad from her South Brisbane seat.

The promise to provide supply to a potential Labor minority government came as Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk continued to deny she’d accept it.

“I said that there would be no deals,” Ms Palaszczuk said, echoing a broken commitment made at the 2015 election not to form minority government.

Ms MacMahon said there was no way she would back a Nicholls LNP Government.

“We’ve said that we won’t enter into negotiations with the LNP or One Nation,” she said.

A Galaxy poll showed Ms McMahon had edged ahead of Ms Trad in South Brisbane due to shrinking support for both major parties.
