John Kostoglou is the manager of Greek Street Grill and son of the founder, Theo, who opened up shop in 2013 to bring Gold Coasters real Greek food. John says they’ve had to make a few concession­s to the local palate, adding to the souvlaki/ pita/gyros confusion. “We have had to rename our souvlakis ‘kalamaki’ as too many people were getting confused. We serve our gyros with pita.”
