$2m boost for schools

FIVE Gold Coast schools will benefit from almost $2 million in infrastructure upgrades under a re-elected Palaszczuk Government.

Labor candidate for Burleigh Gail Hislop said Burleigh State School would receive about $50,000 in funding for new airconditioning.

Education Minister Kate Jones said the investment in Coast schools was on top of an election commitment to build a secondary school in the Coomera-Pimpama area and a start to planning for another special school at the northern end of the city.
