THE Gold Coast’s new Meter Males are “killing it” – and now they’re looking for a sunscreen sponsor.

But the new golden gods of Surfers Paradise, who this week evened up the gender balance of the 52-year-old Meter Maid service, don’t want sunscreen for themselves but to give away.

Meter Males Benjamin Ahlblad, 21, and Aram Dag, 22, a pair of body-sculpting mates from Finland now living on the Gold Coast, hit the streets of Surfers Paradise this week in tiny golden shorts.

It was their first official Meter Males shift since former AFL larrikin Warwick Capper did a two-week Meter Man cameo in 2007.

Meter Maids and Meter Males owner Roberta Aitchison, trialling guys ahead of Schoolies later this month, is keen to hear from a potential sunscreen sponsor.

As well as feeding parking meters to help motorists, posing for photos and selling merchandise, she wants them giving away sunscreen sachets to help the fight against skin cancer.

Ms Aitchison, who plans to keep the males on permanently if it proves popular with visitors, said the two Finnish lads were perfect city ambassadors.

“They are killing it – the older women love them.”
