Drugs find in Arundel

A ROADSIDE car check has ended in a significant drug haul after police stopped a car on Brisbane Rd in Arundel.

About 1.4kg of cannabis, with a street value of about $28,000, was found during the search of the car by Gold Coast Rapid Action Patrol officers about 11am on Wednesday

Police were conducting proactive patrols in the area when they stopped the car.

A 28-year-old Forest Lake man was charged with supplying a dangerous drug, producing a dangerous drug and possession of a dangerous drug.

He is set to appear in Southport Magistrates Court on December 5.
