Darn-tootin fool let off

-

A DRIVER has been let off with a warning after practising the bagpipes while driving in New Zealand.

Acting Sergeant Bryce Johnson told news website Stuff that he saw the motorist with both hands on the musical instrument in Dunedin.

“His fingers were going a million miles an hour,” Acting Sgt Johnson said.

“And I’m certain I could see a black-type instrument, which looked like a clarinet. It’s foolish, to say the least.”

Radio New Zealand reported that the man was playing a chanter, a recorder-like part of the bagpipe that creates the instrument’s melody.
