Volleyballer Games bid
THE Commonwealth Games will be one step closer for the nation’s hopefuls following this week’s opening round of the Australian Beach Volleyball Tour.
Starting tomorrow, some of the world’s best talents will head to Manly Beach to take part in Australia’s premier volleyball event.
This weekend doubles as the first of three Commonwealth Games selection events, with 32 hopeful Aussies all vying for the one men’s and one women’s team.
On Monday and Tuesday Manly will host the Schools Beach Volleyball Cup, while a celebrity challenge will be held featuring NRL legends Steve Menzies and Matt Cooper and rock star Angry Anderson.
