Towers up for debate

DEVELOPMENT on the Broadwater and surrounding areas is expected to be one of the main topics to be discussed at a meet the candidates forum for the Broadwater electorate.

The Paradise Point and Northern Districts Progress Association are expecting all four Broadwater candidates at the Paradise Point Community Centre.

“We have misgivings about highrises,” association secretary Roger Gordan said. “It’s a pretty quiet area and we want to preserve the tranquillity.”

The forum starts at 7.30pm.
