Stoked at full-tilt practice run

BEN Stokes has shared a video of himself bowling at full-tilt in the nets, showing he’s ready to dive into the Ashes should he get a shock call.

The England all-rounder, 26, is currently banned after he was arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm during a late-night brawl in Bristol.

But now, after the England and Wales Cricket Board appeared to soften its stance on a Stokes recall, Stokes has been working hard in the nets.

Stokes (pictured) shared a clip on his Instagram account of him bowling off a full runup – looking fully fit and raring to go should he be cleared of all charges by police.

He is set to learn his fate this week following September’s scrap.

Should he be cleared, the ECB has suggested he could fly straight to Australia and return, perhaps, in the third Test in Perth in December.
