No rego discount for toll drivers
QUEENSLAND motorists are unlikely to be offered free vehicle registration for regularly using toll roads.
The NSW Government yesterday announced that drivers who rack up at least $25 a week on tolls will not have to pay annual rego fees, saving car owners between $272 and $715 a year.
But Transurban, which operates all southeast Queensland tollways, says there are no plans for a similar initiative here.
Transurban state group general manager Wes Ballantine said it had “never been discussed”.
