Crown adds two to board
CASINO operator Crown Resorts has appointed two new non-executive directors to its board – the latest in a string of leadership changes.
Jane Halton, former secretary of the Australian Department of Finance, joins immediately, subject to regulatory approval.
Toni Korsanos, the chief financial officer of poker machine maker Aristocrat, will join the board once her existing commitments cease.
The announcement is the latest in a series of boardroom changes at Crown this year following the company’s decision to reduce its exposure in Macau and focus on Australian assets.
In January, just a year after stepping down, James Packer rejoined the board following trouble in China.
Crown shares closed up 15c yesterday at $12.49.
