Katie Noonan (music director): A passionate advocate for the arts, she has released more than a dozen studio albums and been Queensland Music Festival artistic director since 2015.

Nathan M Wright (head of choreograp­hy and staging director, opening ceremony): The Brisbanite worked on ceremonies at the 2012 London Olympics and 2014 Winter Olympics.

Drew Anthony (head of choreograp­hy and staging director, closing ceremony): The Palm Beach Currumbin old boy was the 1984 world tap-dancing champion and has worked on ceremonies at Olympic, Commonweal­th, Asia and Arab games and the Rugby World Cup.

Wesley Enoch (segment director): Hailing from Stradbroke Island, the Sydney Festival artistic director was the creative lead behind the indigenous section of the 2006 Commonweal­th Games opening ceremony.

A descendant of the Yugambeh nation, he last year celebrated 25 years as artistic director of Bangarra Dance Theatre.

Artistic director of Townsville’s Dancenorth, he was recently awarded the 2017 Sidney Myer Creative Fellowship
