Earl’s injury denies return

A DETERMINED Sandor Earl has vowed to recover from a gut-wrenching knee reconstruction to write the final chapter of his comeback story.

Earl has been dealt the cruelest of blows, suffering an ACL injury at training, three weeks after returning from a four-year ASADA ban.

The 28-year-old had been in preseason training with the Melbourne Storm, whom he joined on a 12month contract, when he felt his knee collapse beneath him without any contact or impact from a teammate.
