Frosty a fan of challenge

SUPERCARS veteran Mark Winterbottom admits the addition of Newcastle is a step into “the unknown” but says all the drivers will embrace the challenge.

The weekend’s inaugural race through the streets of Newcastle has an immediate fan in The Bottle-O Race Team driver.

“It’s the unknown but we are looking forward to that,” he said. “We love new events and new challenges and Newcastle is going to be huge.”

Despite not being in the title mix, Winterbottom is chasing a strong finish.

“The results are starting to come,” he said. “I’m looking forward to finishing on a high.”
