Architect Desmond Brooks, the man behind many of the city’s landmark buildings, wants to see nightclubs in Surfers Paradise banished to Bundall
Matthew Baird
Space for huge nightclubs with outdoor areas and even pool areas. Direct access to the racecourse and new cultural precinct. Indoor/ outdoor courtyard restaurants. Beer gardens. Sounds brilliant. (No need to ‘kick out’ the nightclubs from Surfers, just let Upton Street compete and let the club owners and customers choose where they want to go).

The gold coast needs a Beach club. omewhere
classy to go for a drink or a swim during the day/night. Like what Vegas/Bali has.

No way it’s awesome the way it is, when you go to Surfers you expect to club and have big breakfasts the next day, sleep on the beach in the day time cause your hung over

Eventually Sufers Paradise will only be for those that can afford to stay at expensive resorts & sit sipping
champagne at a high priced roof top bar.The rich only look out for themselves.

Goodonya Design King, Desmond Brooks, I’m with you. Surfers Paradise definitely needs examples on class/ sophistication. Surfers Paradise trashy this morning. Broken glass in carparking spaces, rubbish everywhere.
