Jann joins age debate

LNP Member for Currumbin Jann Stuckey is wading into the internal party debate around some older MPs having “done their dash”, saying just look at the council.

The 62-year-old yesterday hit back at criticism from anonymous LNP sources who claimed fresh blood was needed and older MPs like Surfers Paradise stalwart John-Paul Langbroek were no longer effective.

Ms Stuckey said: “If we’re going to be bring age into the political debate what about council? The Mayor is 60, one councillor is over 70, another’s almost there, several are 60 or thereabouts and one started their career at 60.”
