TUGUN BOWLS CLUB:

They might be biased but after half a century Tugun Bowls Club reckons they’ve won the turf war and are the best on the Gold Coast. The club celebrated their milestone with a day of bowls and an evening of celebration.

The 50th anniversary gala dinner was attended by 180 people including dignitaries and despite the rain 90 bowlers took to the greens.

Two of the club’s longest serving members Keith Cramp, 91, and Daphne Black, 90, were given the honour of cutting the cake and a good time was had by all.
