FITNESS guru Sophie Guidolin is bidding a sad farewell to her “forever” home.

The 28-year-old never intended leaving the four-bedroom Robina house – but a joyful surprise forced a change of plans.

“Eighteen months after we moved in, we found out we were expecting twins – a shock we certainly didn’t see coming,” said Ms Guidolin, who also has two older children.

“We felt that as the four kids grew up we may require acreage to suit the needs of four active children.”

Nathan Wallace bought their house in 2014 for $645,000 after she moved from Adelaide.

“We lived in a few different rental properties prior to buying to ensure we liked the area before settling into our forever home,” Ms Guidolin said.

“When I saw this property I fell in love with the pool area and the fact I could see the kids playing while I was in the kitchen cooking.”

The mother-of-four, who has released a range of fitness programs and recipe books and runs Burleigh Heads gym Hold Your Own with her husband, said the house would always hold fond memories. “It was the first place we brought our twin girls home to and even walking through now brings a tear

The split-level house at 2 The Links overlooks Palmer eyes,” Ms Guidolin Golf Course and features an open-plan kitchen, covered pool, intercom and cathedral ceilings.

“I loved that it was on the golf course and felt like the land was so much larger because the rooms overlook the golf course,” Ms Guidolin said. “I also loved that there are two main bedrooms both with walk in robes and full bathrooms – it was perfect for guests.”

Ms Guidolin said designing her twin daughters’ nursery was also a highlight.

“It was so special,” she said. “We had their room designed and the massive bedrooms allowed for two cots and a rocking chair with ease.”

The 553sq m property is on the market with James Massey of Harcourts Coastal.

It’s listed with a price guide of $799,000 to $849,000.

The highest sale on The Links is No. 30 which sold earlier this year for $1.17 million.
