Man on run after attack

A KNIFE-wielding man is on the run after he allegedly stabbed another man in an abandoned house at Surfers Paradise.

A 22-year-old man was found with a stab wound to his lower back inside the former Swinging Safari house on Thornton Drv at 10.10pm on Wednesday.

He was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious but non-life threatening condition.

Police believe the men are homeless and may have both been squatting in the property.
