In 2016 there were 67,000 bass fingerlings alone released in the dam. Launch your silent craft from either the Western (Nerang Murwillumbah Road) or Eastern boat ramp (Little Nerang and Range Roads). Weekly and yearly fishing permits are available at www.fishhinzedam.com.au. No boating permit is necessary.
