AT least 50,000 Gold Coast homes could be forced to wait nearly a year to be connected to the National Broadband Network.

Scott Alexander Bloody pathetic. I bought a home at Upper Coomera recently. The previous owner had adsl connected. I go to hook up and can’t connect adsl or nbn ... have to wait ... and offered a more expensive mobile broadband. No compensation at all. You’d think in a 1st world country we wouldn’t have these issues.

Nathan White Great news! On cable at Helensvale and from what I have heard it is better to be on Cable than the NBN. I am aiming to delay as long as possible for the NBN and stick with Cable.

David Andersen Ummmm let me see, ADSL2+ running at dial up speed or NBN with it’s drop outs and speed problems. Tough choice since we are rated 40th in the world for internet speed and quality. Bizarre.

Nannie Patterson Live in the most intellectual area surrounded by Bond Uni Varsity College who insist on a computer only program for all children 7-18 year olds and absolutely NO broadband here. ASDL is so slow or non existent, it is a disgrace. Worst than third world country.

Udi Solomon The NBN is the biggest rip off, they are not even installing 100% optical cable, the government wanted to cut corners and save money.

Keith Z Kazy Hardly worth the wait. We have NBN and are currently getting 2.3 mb/sec.
