Charges for setting fires

KINGSCLIFF police have charged a 31-year-old man with two counts of setting fires.

Police will allege the man lit the spot fires which became a fire front at least 70 metres long in beach bushland opposite the Kingscliff Police Station.

He has been refused bail and will appear in Tweed Heads Local Court.
