Bugged by made beds

-

IT might seem untidy, but leaving the bed unmade is the best way to defeat bed bugs.

Dust mites thrive in warm, moist conditions and can trigger allergic symptoms such as sneezing and wheezing due to the allergens they produce.

There could be up to 1.5 million microscopic bugs lurking in your bed clothes at any one time.

But experts from the Kingston University in the UK say if the moisture is removed from the sheets and mattress by aerating the sheets and opening a window, most of bugs are killed through dehydration.
