HECKLER BOOTED

IT wasn’t just two playoff holes Cameron Smith had to overcome to win the PGA Championship. A spectator heckled the 24-year-older in the final stages before Smith’s caddie Sam Pinfold confronted the man on the 18th fairway. The fan was then escorted from the course. “He just said a few nasty things, telling me not to choke,” Smith said. “I tried to play it off, and then as I was coming into the ball, he coughed and sneezed. Yeah, so (Pinfold) did the right thing there. He was just having a laugh. I don’t know what he was trying to achieve. I guess he’s from NSW.”
